Roman Tremmel investigates genetic factors contributing to drug variability regarding metabolism and response such as adverse events. His research covers clinical studies, GWAS and OMICS technologies including NGS, microarrays, transcriptomics, metabolomics as well as all kind of large databases. He enjoys data. Generating (yes, in the wet-lab e.g. high-throuput qPCR or arrays), statistically analyzing, visualizing, and even cleaning it. He does these things with some combination of R, Shiny and bash scripts. He frequently collaborates with researchers around the world who study bioinformatics, implementation strategies, and translational science. Passionate about integrating pharmacogenetic testing into clinical settings.
